AL'S COMMENTS: I sometimes feel like I'm too hard to please with respect to romance. I can like a girl a lot, but it takes a lot more to really be in love. Perhaps its a level of alchemical attraction that I find rare. The woman who inspired this song (still a great friend and happily attached to a worthy man as of this writing) was truly magnificent, but something within me wouldn't fully go there with her. It caused me grief, because I really thought she was amazing.
I'm really really happy with the way this one came out. I really got to rock out on the guitars with the wah-wah pedal and my rotating speaker cabinet (a Cordovox, for all you guitar geeks out there).

What’s wrong with this puzzle?
Where’s the missing piece?
I’ve got a girl, she feels like home
But I need release
There's no fear of commitment
No fear to succeed
Tried so hard to work it out
I’m longing still for peace
And there's a storm that is gathering
Inside my eyes
She knows she can't stop it
And she starts to cry
CHORUS
She’s not for me, she’s not for me
She’s everything I said a girl could ever be
My feelings are a mystery, I hope one day I’ll see
The reason that she’s not the girl for me
She told me I’m the kind of man
She hoped she’d meet one day
And everything on paper tells me
I should feel the same
And there's a storm that is gathering
Inside my eyes
She knows she can't stop it
And she starts to cry
(Chorus)
