AL'S COMMENTS: This song was influenced by Dan Bern, back in the days when we both used to hang out and play at the Iguana Café. I wanted to write a song about all about sex that didn't say sex.
I love the work that Tom Winslow, another Iguana Café guy, put on the track. What a monster guitarist (and singer/songwriter) he is. I don't know if he ever put out an album, but if he did, just buy it.

If you’re a Kennedy, if you’re Rob Lowe
You will fall prey to it, you’ll be laid low
If you’re the princess of the whole UK
Nothing you say can reverse the flow
And you know what I’m talking about
If you’re a prostitute, if you’re a priest
It’s the key element of you’re mystique
Some people worship it, others abhor it
Just between you and me, I do adore it
CHORUS:
And you know what I’m talking about
You know what I’m talking about
And you know what I’m talking about
It just might enslave you, it might set you free
If you’re in jail it’s the lock or the key
It lifts up the lowly, it corrupts the holy
The scope of its power’s beyond all belief
Chorus
BRIDGE:
Poet or president, justice or thief
You will find glory, you will find grief
Stranger or resident, wealthy or poor
We all be come equal under its allure
Chorus
Bridge
Before Consummation or After the Deed
It will change everything between you and me
The best kind of love or the worst kind of rape
It is the vessel of birth, death and fate
Chorus
